“Picture of the day” Today on our 09h30 boat trip we had Bottlenose dolphins playing in the surf at Keurbooms Strand. En-route to Robberg we encountered 4 Brydes whales.
“Picture of the day” Yesterday evening at 17h00 a big shoal of pilchards was pushed into the day by ± 1000 Common dolphins and 5 – 6 Brydes whales. This feeding frenzy went on until about 17h30 until the dolphins rounded the point of Robberg on their way to Knysna.
“Picture of the day” On Monday 16th April we had our second Southern Right whale passing through the bay for 2012. Guests were entertained on Robberg Beach with this whale breaching up to 5 to 6 times ± 2kilometers off the Beacon Island moving towards the Point of Robberg. Today on both our 09h30 and READ MORE
“Picture of the day” For the last couple of days we have been very lucky to have various pods of Common dolphins feeding in our Bay. The groups have ranged between 150 and ±1500. “Picture of the day” Another awesome trip on the ocean!!! Today on our 09h30 boat trip we encountered a pod of ± 500 Common dolphins, busy feeding at Dune Park. After about 5 minutes they were joined by 5 Brydes whales a few Cape Fur Seals and Cape Gannets.
“Picture of the day” We had another exciting day on the ocean. We encountered a pod of Bottlenose dolphins playing in the surf at Keurbooms. They kept our clients on the boat entertained for 20 minutes, surfing waves and jumping through the back of the waves.

“Picture of the day” On our 09h30 boat trip this morning we encountered 2 African Black Footed Penguins, previously known as the Jack Ass Penguins. They eat fish such as anchovies, pilchards, horse mackerel and round herrings, and to a lesser extent squid and crustacean such as krill.
“Picture of the day” Dolphins will work together as groups to contain fish in as tight a ball as possible. This cooperation ensures that every member gets their fair share. They have a built in radar that enables them to communicate, locate and stun fish.
