Last year we got a donation to make chalk boards for the children at Siyakula pre-school and they have been well used. Now all the children have a chance to practice their letters and numbers.
“Picture of the day” One of three Humpback whales yesterday in the bay. According to authorities in Kwazulu Natal hundreds of Humpback whales were seeing passing along the coastline heading south. This is great news for us in Plettenberg Bay as November should be a fantastic month for spotting these mammals passing our bay.
Another Southern Right whale moving into the bay. We currently have 5 Southern Right whales plus 2 mother and new-born calves. We are so lucky to have this pristine Bay for mothers to have their calves and rear them before moving back down south.
While traveling off the point of Robberg our guide Mario noticed numerous whale blows ± 2 kilometers in front of the boat.
