Tree-planting in the Qolweni township

Ocean Blue is not only a whale and dolphin watching company, we also do sea kayaking and offer township tours in the local Qolweni community. As of this year, we on request have added in tree-planting during the tours. This is only possible on bookings one week or more in advance and asking for a tree-planting tour. This gives the guests the feeling that they have contributed towards the upliftment in the community with more than the financial support they give by coming on the tours. Guests can also buy a tree during the tour that will be planted later by the Ocean Blue and ORCA Foundation crew. We have so far planted 11 trees, most of them around the pre-school and nursery.
