“Picture of the day” Humpback whales spotted off Nature’s Valley heading towards Plettenberg Bay. Two Brydes whales were also spotted off Keurbooms Village feeding on a patch of baitfish. With these south easterly winds blowing lots of baitfish has moved into our bay following clean, nutrient rich water.

“Picture of the day” We had another great day of whale watching in Plettenberg Bay. ± 20 Humpback whales were spotted on our 12h00 and 14h30 trip yesterday. “Picture of the day” At last our Humpback whales have started their southerly migration. On Tuesday we spotted ± 20 Humpback whales off Keurbooms village and the Point of Robberg. Guests were kept entertained with many whales breaching and spectacular sights of tail flukes during their trip.
“Picture of the day” Yesterday 3 Humpback whales were spotted off the Island on the Robberg Peninsula. Due to strong winds and rough seas it made it very difficult to spot these animals in the choppy water, but clients still managed to get good photos.
“Picture of the day” On our 09h30 boat trip we had a Southern Right whale heading south. We should still see the odd Southern Right whale coming past. After leaving this whale we headed further south to the Point of Robberg and encountered a couple of Humpback whales.
“Picture of the day” This morning at 06h30 we had a group of ±300 bottlenose dolphins in the bay. This one gave us a spectacular aerial performance on our 09h30 boat trip off Keurbooms strand. We also had 4 Humpback whales ±2 kilometers off the island off Robberg.
“Picture of the day” One of three Humpback whales yesterday in the bay. According to authorities in Kwazulu Natal hundreds of Humpback whales were seeing passing along the coastline heading south. This is great news for us in Plettenberg Bay as November should be a fantastic month for spotting these mammals passing our bay.

“Picture of the day” What an awesome trip!!! These dolphins were playing in the surf. With the plankton bloom in the bay, lots of baitfish has come to feed on the plankton, attracting lots of dolphins.
